Dr. Shiwu, Zhu

Dr. Shiwu, Zhu is a currently associate professor in the Department of Finance, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. He is the deputy director and Secretary-General of Financial Engineering Professional Committee of China and Professional Committee of Financial Quantitative Analysis and Computation. He is the Member of Chinese Association for Applied Statistics and Executive director of Statistical Education Society of China. His field of researches mainly includes fixed income, risk management, financial computation, financial modeling and data mining. He has chaired and completed a number of projects sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Foundation, China Securities Regulatory Commission, the China Foreign Exchange Trading Center, China Life Asset Management Ltd. and HSBC. The academic publications of Dr. Zhu have more than 40 papers in either domestic or foreign academic journals, 5 monographs and 2 translations. Dr. Shiwu, Zhu is a renowned expert of financial database in China, who initiated financial database related courses in domestic universities and has corporate with many domestic and foreign financial database companies. His teaching courses of Financial Database, SAS Programming Techniques, Financial Statistics, Empirical Finance, Financial Data Analysis, and Data Analysis Software are welcomed by the majority of students.

Dr. Mingjin, Wang

Dr. Mingjin, Wang graduated from department of mathematics, Peking University in 1997 with PhD in mathematics received. He is now a professor in Department of Business Statistics and Econometrics and the director of financial risk management center in Guanghua School of Management, and the member of Chinese Association for Applied Statistics, Statistical Education Society of China as well as Statistical Society of Beijing, “mathematical Statistics and Management” magazine’s deputy editor. He was invited as a visiting scholar to Northwestern University (Kellogg) in 2000 and from 2003 to 2005 he was engaged in postdoctoral research at London School of economics and political science. His field of researches mainly includes econometric studies of the financial markets (especially in the financial markets volatility model), nonlinear time series model, the educational gains and risk measurement methods, China's real estate market and the housing finance system and so on. He has published dozens of papers on the Royal Statistical Society and other authoritative magazines and earned funds from Natural Science Foundation of China twice.

Dr. Yonggan, Zhao

Dr. Yonggan, Zhao graduated from University of British Columbia, Sauder Business school and incumbent as a professor in college of management of Dalhousie University, Canada. He had been appointed as the principal investigator of the Risk Management since July, 2006. His field of researches mainly includes Derivatives pricing and portfolio. Till now he has 20 published papers. His current research direction is option pricing under conditions of the state transition. His teaching courses are mainly in financial theory and derived products. He taught Finance at Business School Department of Nanyang Technology University, Singapore from 2001 to 2006 and he teaches in the school's financial engineering graduate course from then on. Dr. yonggan Zhao was engaged as investment consultant for hedge funds for many times and he had certain real-world experience.

Dr. Qiwei, Yao

Dr. Qiwei, Yao is a world-renowned statistician and econometrician, making the top academic achievements in statistic field, a handful of global time series experts and the honorary life members in American Statistical Association (ASA), Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) and the British Royal Statistical Society (RSS), etc. He was appointed as tenured professor in London School of economics and political science in 2002 and teaches there since then. His field of researches mainly includes time series analysis, nonparametric regression analysis, dimension reduction and factor modeling, spatial-temporal data modeling and financial econometrics and etc. His work, non-linear time series, coauthored with the world’s top statistician Professor Fan Jianqing, has been regarded as the world classics.

Dr. Yiming, Wang

Dr. Yiming, Wang is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor in department of finance in school of economics in Peking University. He worked as a lecturer in the school of economics in Peking University from 1997 to 1999, and has been a visiting professor since 2000 in Macao Polytechnic Institute. From July to October in 2000, he was a senior researcher in City University of Hong Kong. He specializes in financial economics, capital asset pricing theory, financial engineering, financial risk management, fixed income bond research and credit risk assessment and management. The courses he teaches are Financial Mathematics, Financial Economics, Financial Engineering, Dynamic Asset Pricing Theory, Stochastic Processes and Applications, and Time Series Analysis.

Dr. Bangchang, Xie

Dr. Bangchang, Xie is a member of teaching material editing committee of the National Bureau of Statistics, member of The National Statistical Society of China in Taiwan for international statistics, president in Chung-hua Data Mining Society, professor and dean in statistics department in Fu Jen Catholic University. Born in 1962, he is a doctor in Biometrics in National Taiwan University and become one of the world-renowned statisticians. Previously he was a fulltime research member of "Executive Yuan" Comptroller Office in Taiwan, part-time associate professor in Department of Commercial Mathematics in Soochow University, part-time professor in Biometrics Research Center in Taiwan University, General Officer in Fu Jen Catholic University and Secretary-General of Chung-hwa Data Mining Society (CDMS).

Dr. Erwan, Mao

Dr. Erwan, Mao is currently the International Finance and Business Institute, Beijing Foreign Studies University, deputy director of the China Society for Finance and Financial Engineering Committee. He got the doctor degree of Mathematical Economics in the School of Mathematics and System Sciences in Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Postdoctoral Degree of Financial Economics in the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. When he worked in Tsinghua University, he taught financial economics courses. He also worked as a senior financial analyst in financial engineering division in a fund management company. His publications are “Financial Economics” and over 20 academic papers, and his main translations of the book “Against the Gods”: The Remarkable Story of Risk. He is currently engaged in teaching and research in International Business School in Beijing Foreign Studies University.

Dr. Xiaoqing, Zeng

Dr. Xiaoqing, Zeng received the Doctor’s degree in management accounting in Xiamen University and the postdoctoral degree in business and management (accounting) in Tsinghua University. He is member of China Accounting Society and non-practicing member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was a visiting postdoctoral student in Shenzhen Institute of China Accounting and Finance Research Center in Hong Kong Polytechnic University, an intern in Accounting Division in The Ministry of Finance, a visiting scholar in Accounting Department in Taiwan Soochow University and Accounting Department in National Taipei University in Taiwan. He is currently an associate professor in accounting department in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. His main research directions are positive accounting theory, financial accounting theory, and the theory of corporate finance.
